Where is Schroeder located?
Schroeder is located approximately:
- 80 miles north of Duluth
- 75 miles from Canadian Border
- 4 miles from Tofte
- 12 miles from Lutsen
- 25 miles from Silver Bay
- 35 miles from Grand Marais
How should we dress?
Riding is the most fun when you are warm, so dress in layers. Wear warm boots, gloves or mittens, neck warmer, warm jacket and snow pants (bibs). Make sure clothing is not so long or loose that it will get caught in the track of the sled.
Who needs a MN Snowmobile Safety Certificate?
Any Minnesota Resident that wants to drive a snowmobile that was born after December 31, 1976. Please bring the certificate as proof. More information on obtaining a certificate is available on the MN DNR website. Non Residents 18 or older are exempt from this requirement.
How old do you have to be to rent a sled?
We do require you to be at least 21 years old to rent a snowmobile.
I have never driven a snowmobile before, how hard is it?
For first time snowmobile riders we recommend renting a sled for a 1/2 or 1/4 day. We do provide each driver with training on the basics of the sled and how to ride. If this isn´t enough to make you feel comfortable, hire one of our guides to tag along for the first hour or two.
